Product Development and Purchasing

Our Product Development and Purchasing Departments work together to ensure our dealers and customers have the quality parts they need, when they need them, and at a competitive price. 

Product Development

Our Product Development group is responsible for analyzing market demand, determining what parts to add to our inventory, and managing vendor relations. There are many aspects that are considered when sourcing a part: quality, price, lead time, etc. A part must meet stringent requirements and OEM specifications before it can become a "Rapidparts part." 

Purchasing

After Product Development adds the parts, our Purchasing group is responsible for managing inventory, dealer pricing, and acquisition costs. By consistently analyzing and regulating our inventory, Purchasing is able to balance our order fill rate and inventory goals while supporting customer needs by expediting backorders.
